Bengaluru: Watch How A Man Breach Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's Security At An Event
A security breach occurred at a Bengaluru event attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah this morning. A 24-year-old man made a sudden sprint towards the stage where the chief minister was seated. Security personnel responded swiftly and caught him before he could reach Siddaramaiah at the 'International Day of Democracy' event.
The man, identified as Mahadeva from Talgatpura in Kanakpura, reportedly wanted to present a shawl to the chief minister. He was seen holding a shawl when he climbed the stage. The police have taken Mahadeva into custody and are verifying his credentials.

Chief Minister's Address
Earlier in the day, Siddaramaiah addressed the gathering, emphasising his government's commitment to fostering democracy and secularism in Karnataka. "But the threat to these values persists. Together, we must remain vigilant, stand united, and continue to nurture Karnataka as a peaceful garden of all communities," he added.
As part of the event, a 2,500-km-long human chain was formed across all 31 districts of Karnataka. The state government termed it as the "world's longest" human chain, symbolising equality, unity, and fraternity.
Human Chain Event
Siddaramaiah and senior ministers participated in the human chain event held in front of Vidhana Soudha. This initiative aimed to showcase solidarity among different communities within the state.
The police are currently verifying Mahadeva's background following his attempt to approach Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the event. His intentions appeared benign as he wished to offer a shawl to Siddaramaiah.
The swift action by security personnel ensured that no harm came to the chief minister or any attendees during the incident. The authorities are taking necessary steps to prevent such breaches in future events.
This incident highlights the importance of maintaining stringent security measures at public events attended by high-profile individuals. It also underscores the need for vigilance among security teams to handle unexpected situations effectively.
The 'International Day of Democracy' event continued smoothly after the brief disruption caused by Mahadeva's actions. The focus remained on promoting democratic values and unity among Karnataka's diverse population.
