Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Hosur Road and Flyover Closed Amid Torrential Rains
In the wake of relentless rainfall that has battered Bengaluru since Sunday night, the city traffic police have issued a crucial advisory, warning commuters to completely avoid Hosur Road due to severe waterlogging.
The stretch between Silk Board and Rupena Agrahara has been temporarily closed, including the elevated flyover, as floodwaters continue to hamper vehicular movement.

Authorities have urged commuters to take alternate routes and steer clear of Hosur Road until further notice.
Commuters traveling on the Outer Ring Road near Marathahalli Police Station are advised to expect delays, with heavy congestion reported from Kadubeesanahalli towards Karthiknagar and from Marathahalli towards Kadubeesanahalli. The traffic slowdown is attributed to Metro construction in the area.
In addition, poor road conditions are affecting vehicle flow on several routes. Heavy traffic is reported from Bannerghatta Road towards the city center and from Arehalli towards Kengeri.
Meanwhile, waterlogging has resulted in sluggish traffic in multiple areas, including 14th Main Service Road towards 5th Main, Kasthuri Nagar towards Ramamurthy Nagar, Balekundri Junction towards Queens Road, and CQAL Cross in RT Nagar heading towards Mekhri Circle.
Further disruption was caused by a tree fall on the road from Cantonment Railway Station towards Mekhri Circle, slowing down traffic significantly. Authorities have urged commuters to cooperate and plan alternate routes wherever possible.
Long traffic snarls have already been reported in surrounding areas, prompting officials to act swiftly to prevent further congestion.
The advisory comes amid widespread flooding and traffic disruptions across Bengaluru, with several key junctions submerged following heavy downpours since early Monday morning.
Further updates on route diversions and clearance efforts are expected from the Bengaluru Traffic Police later today.
