Bengaluru Traffic Alert: Road Closure At BTM Layout and Bannerghatta Road; Alternative Routes Announced

Vehicular traffic has been restricted on several roads in Bengaluru as white topping work is underway at the BTM Layout 29th Main Junction. The Bengaluru City Traffic Police has announced alternative routes to ease traffic congestion and shared updates via Twitter.

Restrictions and Alternative Routes at BTM Layout

Traffic Restrictions:

The stretch from BTM 29th Main Junction on Outer Ring Road to Ruby-2 Junction on Bannerghatta Main Road has been restricted.

Alternative Routes:

• Vehicles from Silk Board Junction on Outer Ring Road heading towards Jayadeva Junction can proceed via BTM 16th Main Junction, reach Jayadeva Junction, take a left turn, and join Bannerghatta Main Road.
• Vehicles from Vega City Mall Junction on Bannerghatta Main Road towards Jayadeva Junction can use the service road of Jayadeva Flyover at Sairam Junction to connect to the Outer Ring Road.
• The road divider at Sairam Junction on Bannerghatta Main Road has been closed. An alternative route at Shilpakala Junction has been opened for vehicular movement.
• Bannerghatta Road Traffic Updates
• Vehicles from Silk Board Junction are permitted to take a free left turn at Jayadeva Junction towards Bannerghatta Main Road.
• Vehicles from Vega City Mall Junction heading to Jayadeva Junction can take the service road at Jayadeva Junction to reach the Outer Ring Road and proceed towards Banashankari.
• Restrictions on West of Chord Road
• White topping work is also in progress on a 270-meter stretch from M.C. Circle Underpass in Vijayanagar to P&T Junction (Hosahalli Metro) on West of Chord Road. The following traffic restrictions have been imposed from 10:00 PM onwards:

Road Closed:

Traffic is restricted for all vehicles from A.S.C. College Rajajinagar Junction to P&T Junction (Rajajinagar side towards Vijayanagar).

Alternative Route:

Vehicles heading towards Vijayanagar, Chandra Layout, and Mysore Road via West of Chord Road can use the service road at ACC College Junction (Rajajinagar), proceed through M.C. Circle (Magadi Road Tollgate Circle), and rejoin West of Chord Road at P&T Junction.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has urged commuters to plan their routes in advance and cooperate with the traffic diversions for a smoother travel experience.
