Bengaluru Traffic Alert: Road Closed For Lalbagh Flower Show 2025 Till January 25
The Department of Horticulture is gearing up to present a spectacular Lalbagh Flower Show from January 16 to January 26, 2025, marking the occasion of Republic Day. This event is anticipated to attract a vast audience of 8 to 10 lakh people, including notable figures, tourists, school groups, and international visitors. In light of the expected large turnout, several traffic adjustments and parking regulations have been announced to ensure a smooth experience for attendees and the general public.

For the convenience of those coming to enjoy the floral displays, ample parking facilities have been arranged. Two-wheeler parking is available at the premises of Al-Ameen College on Dr. Marigowda Road, while both two and four-wheelers can find spots at the BMTC Multi-Storey Parking Lot on KH Road, Shantinagara. Additional parking for vehicles of both types is provided at the Hopcoms Parking Lot and the Corporation Parking Lot on Dr. Marigowda Road and JC Road, respectively.
Traffic Advisories and Parking Restrictions
To facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and maintain safety, parking will not be allowed on several roads around Lalbagh. This includes Dr. Marigowda Road from the main gate of Lalbagh to Nimhans, KH Road from KH Circle to Shanthinagar junction, Lalbagh Road from Subbaiah Circle to the main gate of Lalbagh, and several other areas. These measures aim to reduce congestion and ensure that the flow of vehicles is not obstructed during the event.
Traffic may be diverted on certain roads to better manage the influx of visitors. Vehicles heading towards Lalbagh from Dairy Circle on Dr. Marigowda Road, from Subbaiah Circle on Lalbagh Road, and from Siddaiah Road towards Lalbagh main gate at Urvashi Junction will be rerouted as necessary. These adjustments are part of a comprehensive traffic management plan designed to minimize disruptions and enhance safety for all.
Alternative Routes and Public Transport Encouragement
To aid those affected by the traffic restrictions, alternative routes have been suggested. For instance, vehicles from Dairy Circle can turn right at the 10th Cross Junction to reach City Market, Majestic, and other areas via Wilson Garden Main Road and BMTC (KH) Road. For those coming from Subbaiah Circle, a straightforward route and a left turn at Urvashi Junction will provide access to various destinations via Siddaiah Road and Dr. Marigowda Road.
Special pick-up and drop-off points have been designated near Lalbagh Main Gate and Lalbagh East Gate (K.H Circle) to facilitate easy access for visitors. These points are strategically located to accommodate vehicles coming from different directions, thereby streamlining the process of entering and exiting the event area. The public is also encouraged to use public transport as a way to reduce vehicular congestion and contribute to a smoother flow of traffic during the bustling period of the flower show.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory to inform residents and visitors of these arrangements. The advisory, shared via social media, aims to spread awareness about the traffic changes and parking restrictions in place from January 16 to January 26, 2025, making it easier for everyone to plan their visit to the Lalbagh Flower Show 2025.
