Bengaluru Traffic Alert: Restrictions On These Roads Till April 10, Check Diversion Routes

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East), Bengaluru, has announced traffic changes in view of the Muthyalamma Devi Temple Festival and Palakki Utsava being held on Seppings Road, under the jurisdiction of the Pulikeshi Nagar Traffic Police Station. The changes have been made in the interest of public safety and to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the religious festivities.

In a tweet, the DCP shared details of the temporary traffic diversions and parking restrictions, which will be in effect from 11 am today (April 9) until 2 pm on Thursday.

Which roads are closed to traffic?

All vehicular traffic from Cold Park Junction towards Seppings Road will be restricted in both directions.

All vehicular traffic from St. John's Church Road towards Narayana Pillai Street will be restricted in both directions.

All vehicular traffic from War Memorial Junction towards St. John's Church Road (up to Haynes Road junction) will be restricted.

Alternative routes for motorists:

Motorists heading towards Shivajinagar via Seppings Road from Coles Park Junction or Narayana Pillai Street Junction can proceed straight on St. John's Church Road, turn left at Haynes Junction, and continue towards Shivajinagar via Jumma Masjid Road.

Motorists traveling from War Memorial Junction to Haynes Junction via St. John's Church Road may take a right at War Memorial Junction, go straight on Assaya Road, turn left at Sindhi Colony Junction, take a right on Cold Road, continue straight on Coles Road, then take a left on Haynes Road to reach Haynes Junction.

Where is parking banned?

Parking of all types of vehicles has been temporarily banned on the following roads:

• Narayana Pillai Street
• Seppings Road
• Nala Road
• Thimmaiah Road
• Haynes Road
• A.M. Road
• St. John's Church Road

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with the traffic police for a smooth and safe festival experience.
