Bengaluru Traffic Alert On February 6: Heavy Traffic Expected Near Palace Grounds, Check Routes
Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and parking arrangements for an event at Thripuravasini, Palace Grounds, on February 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The event is expected to draw a crowd of around 40,000 attendees, prompting authorities to implement specific routes and exit plans to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Traffic & Parking Guidelines for Visitors
For Those Arriving by Bus
- From city areas: Buses should take Windsor Manor Junction → BDA U-Ramp → Ramanamaharshi Road → PG Halli Bus Stand → Kaveri Junction → Mekri Circle Service Road → Gayatri Vihar → Gate No. 98 (Kings Court) for parking. Attendees must walk to the venue following instruction boards.
- From Hebbal via Bellary Road: Buses should take a left at Mekri Circle Service Road, proceed via Jayamahal Road, and park at the Circus Gate of Palace Grounds.
- From Yeshwanthpur: Take BHEL Circle → Sadashivanagar PS Junction → Mekri Circle → Jayamahal Road and follow signage to the venue.
- From Cantonment Railway Station (Dandu): Follow TV Tower Junction → Circus Gate and park along Jayamahal Road.
Exit Routes for Buses
Buses parked at Gate No. 1 should exit via Amanullah Khan Gate.
Buses at Gate No. 1 and Circus Gate should exit via Jayamahal Road.
For Tempo Travellers, Cars & Two-Wheelers
- From city areas: Take Windsor Manor Junction → BDA U-Ramp → Ramanamaharshi Road → PG Halli Bus Stand → Kaveri Junction → Mekri Circle Service Road → Makri Circle and park at Krishna Vihar, Palace Grounds.
- Exit via Amanullah Khan Gate → Jayamahal Road → Makri Circle.
- From Bellary Road: Take Mekri Circle Underpass and park at Gate No. 1, Gayatri Vihar.
- Exit via Jayamahal Road → Circus Gate → Makri Circle.
- From Yeshwanthpur: Follow BHEL Circle → Sadashivanagar PS Junction → Mekri Circle → Sir CV Raman Road to reach the venue.
- Exit via Amanullah Khan Gate → Jayamahal Road → Makri Circle.
- From Cantonment Railway Station (Dandu): Follow TV Tower Junction → Jayamahal Road and park near Circus Gate.
- Exit via Circus Gate → Jayamahal Road towards Cantonment Railway Station.
Roads with Parking Prohibitions
Parking is strictly prohibited on the following roads:
- M.V. Jayaram Road
- Bellary Road
- Taralabalu Road
Alternate Routes & Public Cooperation
Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid congestion. Bengaluru Traffic Police request public cooperation to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the event.
