Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Palace Grounds KSPCB Event Set to Choke Ballari Road

The Bengaluru police have released a traffic advisory for the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board's (KSPCB) Golden Jubilee celebration. This event is scheduled from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm at Krishna Vihara Gate number 01 inside Palace Grounds. An estimated 80,000 attendees and 2,305 vehicles are expected.

Bengaluru Traffic Police noted that the event falls under the Sadashivanagar Traffic Police Station's jurisdiction. Attendees will include the Chief Minister, Union and State Ministers, other dignitaries, and students from schools and colleges.

Traffic Congestion Expected on Key Roads

Key roads likely to experience significant traffic congestion include Krishna Vihara Gate near Palace Grounds, Ballari Road, CV Raman Road, and Jayamahal Road. Commuters should plan accordingly to avoid delays.

For those heading to Kempegowda International Airport, it's recommended to bypass Ballari Road. Instead, take Old High Grounds Junction, Kalpana Junction, Old Udaya TV Junction, Cantonment Railway Station, Tannery Road, and Nagawara before reaching the airport.

Alternative Routes for Airport Travelers

Travelers from the airport to the city center have two suggested routes. Route 1 involves going through Hebbal, turning left at Nagawara Junction, passing Bamboo Bazaar and Queens Road into the city. Route 2 takes Hebbal Ring Road, Kuvempu Circle, Gorgunte Palya Junction with a left onto Dr Rajkumar Road into the city.

From Yeshwanthpur to the airport, travelers can use Mathikere Road. They should turn right at BEL Circle and continue via Ring Road. To reach central Bengaluru from Yeshwanthpur directly, Dr Rajkumar Road is advised.

Heavy Vehicle Restrictions in Place

Heavy vehicles face restrictions at several points. At Hebbal Junction, they cannot proceed toward Ballari Road and must use Outer Ring Road instead. Vehicles from High Grounds will be redirected via Kalpana Junction and other specified routes.

No heavy vehicles are allowed on CV Raman Road in Yeshwanthpur today. Additionally, no-parking zones will be enforced along Palace Road, Nandidurga Road, Ballari Road, CV Raman Road, Jayamahal Road, and Guttahalli Road.

This advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic flow during KSPCB's Golden Jubilee celebration while accommodating the large number of expected attendees and vehicles.
