Bengaluru to face water shortages on 5th and 6th of August
Bengaluru, Aug 3: Water supply in many areas in Bengaluru will be affected on the 5th and 6th of August. Cauvery water will be cut off in South West, South East, South and Magadi Road service station jurisdiction.
Sources say that the disruption will be caused due to maintenance work in Cauvery water supply I and II stage lines and pumping stations under the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).
Areas to be affected include:
Pension Mohalla, Anjanappa Garden, J J Nagar, Chaluvadi playa, Padarayanapura, Goripalya of JJ Nagar service station area; Kempegowdanagara, Shankarapura, Mavalli of VV puram Service Station Area, Jayanagara, Srinagara, Srinivasanagar, ITI Layout, Yedeyuru, Banashankari IInd Stage, Hoskere halli & Banagiri of Mount joy Service station area of South West division.
Johnson Market , CLR areas, Shanthi nagar, Residency Road, Domlur, Eejipura, Austin town, Neelasandra, Adugodi, Koramangala 8th Block of South- East division.
Nagamma nagara, Nethajinagara, Bhuvaneshwari nagara, some parts of KP Agrahara, Mariyappana playa, Fish Stall Road, Bettamma Road and surrounding areas of Magadi Road Service Station Area.
Kumaraswamy layout, Pragathipura ,Gangadhara nagara, Sarabande Palya, Padhmanabha nagara, Bendrenagar, Uttarahalli ,Poorna praghna and surrounding areas of South Division.
Telecom Layout, Binny Layout, RPC Layout (Partially), Pipeline area (Partially), Ideal Home Service station area; Bapuji nagara, Raghava nagara, Shamanna Garden, Hosaguddadahalli, New Timber Yard, Byatarayanapura, Avalalli, Boregouda & MTC slum of Mysore Road Service Station areas.
