Bengaluru Techie Kills Wife: What Led To Murder Of Gouri Sambrekar On That Fateful Night?
Bengaluru Police have uncovered disturbing details surrounding the gruesome murder of a woman allegedly killed by her husband, a tech professional, who then concealed her body in a suitcase before fleeing.
Rakesh Khedekar, employed as a senior project coordinator with a private firm, is accused of stabbing his wife, Gouri Sambrekar, to death in their residence at Doddakammanahalli, near Hulimavu, and then absconding.

What unfolded that evening?
According to The Times of India, the couple, who had only recently relocated to Bengaluru from Mumbai, spent the earlier part of the evening together.
They went for a walk near an open area and returned home around 7.30pm, carrying snacks and alcohol.
It was reportedly routine for Rakesh to unwind with a drink after work, while Gouri kept him company-serving food and playing music.
That night, they took turns playing their favourite songs. While Rakesh played a few tracks and sipped on his drink, Gouri prepared rice in the kitchen.
When her turn came, she played a Marathi song which, Rakesh claims, ridiculed father-son relationships. She is said to have teased him using the lyrics, even blowing air in his face in a mocking gesture.
Irritated by her behaviour, Rakesh allegedly shoved her, causing her to nearly fall near the kitchen. In retaliation, she reportedly hurled a knife at him and shouted abuses.
The situation escalated fatally-Rakesh, in a fit of rage, took hold of the same knife and stabbed Gouri, twice in the neck and once in the abdomen, sometime between 8.45 and 9pm.
As she lay critically injured, Rakesh claimed he sat beside her, expressing how deeply her words and actions had affected him.
Police later revealed that Gouri had emptied a suitcase earlier that day, seemingly planning to return to Mumbai out of frustration over her inability to find employment in Bengaluru.
After confirming that she had died, Rakesh placed her body into the suitcase. He attempted to drag it to the bathroom to allow the blood to drain, but the suitcase handle broke. He abandoned it near the bathroom and began cleaning the house.
At approximately 12.45am, he locked the house and fled in his car. He drove nearly 800 kilometres to Shirwal, Maharashtra, where police eventually apprehended him on 2 April.
During interrogation, Rakesh allegedly told police he was under immense psychological pressure due to Gouri's constant insults aimed at his parents and sister.
He described their relationship as strained, dating back to their school days, saying he loved her but often felt trapped and criticised. A case has been registered, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
