Bengaluru Techie, His Wife And Two Children Found Dead In Their Apartment, Murder-Suicide Pact Suspected
A family of four, including a software consultant, his wife, and their two children, were found dead in their rented home in Bengaluru. Police are investigating the case as a suspected murder-suicide.
The deceased have been identified as Anup Kumar (38), his wife Rakhi (35), their 5-year-old daughter Anupriya, and their 2-year-old son Priyansh. Originally from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, the family had been living in Bengaluru for Anup Kumar's job as a software consultant in a private company.

On Monday morning, the family's housekeeper arrived for work but received no response despite repeated attempts to contact the family. The housekeeper then alerted the neighbours, who informed the police. Upon entering the home, the police discovered the bodies of the couple and their children.
Initial investigations revealed that Anup and Rakhi poisoned their children before taking their own lives by hanging.
According to news agency IANS, it is believed the couple may have been struggling emotionally, possibly due to their elder child's health issues. Anupriya, the couple's daughter, had special needs, and the parents were reportedly under considerable stress, as stated by their housekeeper.
Despite this, the couple appeared to be happy and had even planned a trip to Pondicherry, with their packing completed by Sunday, according to the housekeeper. The family employed three staff members, including two cooks and one caregiver for the children, each earning Rs 15,000 per month.
No suicide note has been found at the scene. The police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.
