Bengaluru Road Rage: 30-Year-Old Software Engineer Arrested After Allegedly Showing Middle Finger to Woman
A 30-year-old software professional, Harsha HB, was arrested for allegedly making an obscene gesture toward a woman during a road rage incident. Harsha, who works at Manyata Tech Park and resides in Attiguppe, was taken into custody on Thursday and later released on station bail.
The arrest followed a complaint filed by a woman who alleged that Harsha showed her the middle finger during an altercation on Wednesday. The incident reportedly took place on Chickpet Main Road, near Gopalan Mall.

According to the complaint, Harsha's car was repeatedly honking, urging the woman to move aside, but due to heavy traffic, she was unable to do so. Harsha then allegedly drove up beside her, verbally abused her, and made the obscene gesture before speeding away.
The woman, feeling humiliated and distressed, stated that several commuters witnessed the incident, including two female passengers in Harsha's car. She recorded the episode and shared the video on X (formerly Twitter).
Following her post, Chamarajpet police urged her to file a formal complaint. "We arrested Harsha today," a police official confirmed. "We are currently recording statements from both parties to determine the sequence of events. Further investigation is underway."
