Meanwhile, in the CBD, areas like MG Road, Brigade Road, and Shivaji Nagar experienced similar weather conditions.

Many Bengaluru residents took to social media to share their joy, posting videos of rain-drenched streets and the comforting sounds of thunder rolling across the sky. For many, it felt like the arrival of the long-anticipated monsoon.

Intense rainfall with thunder, lightning, and strong winds have been reported towards the North, Northeast, and East of the city, while light to moderate rains are falling across the rest of Bengaluru. The sky is now shrouded in darkness, adding to the dramatic atmosphere.

In particular, Kalyannagar and Banaswadi experienced heavy rain with hailstorms, making for quite a spectacle. The rain, accompanied by strong winds, has brought some temporary relief from the oppressive heat.
