Central and northern areas were not left out. Localities including Mathikere, Rajajinagar, and Ulsoor woke up to steady rain and cloudy skies, while Banaswadi witnessed continuous showers through the early hours. Bengaluru East witnessed good rainfall, bringing much-needed relief and a pleasant spell of weather. Sheegehalli recorded the highest rainfall at 46.5 mm, followed closely by Manduru at 44.5 mm. Avalahalli received 31.5 mm, while Doddabanahalli saw 30 mm of rain, and Kadugodi recorded 15 mm. The steady showers over the past few hours have significantly cooled the region and improved the overall weather conditions.

Residents described the rain as "worth the wait," especially after warm and humid conditions over the past few days. The overnight showers have also helped bring down temperatures and improve morning conditions across the city.

Weather observers and early model trends suggest this is just the beginning. Forecasts indicate that South Interior Karnataka and adjoining ghat regions are likely to receive consistent rainfall over the coming week, with chances of thunderstorms and evening showers continuing in Bengaluru.

With the rainy spell setting in, residents are advised to prepare for waterlogging in low-lying areas, slower traffic during peak hours, and occasional power disruptions. At the same time, the rains are expected to provide relief from heat and support water levels across the region.
