Bengaluru Power Cut on June 30: BESCOM to Suspend Electricity for 6 Hours in Over 30 Areas

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has planned a power cut on Monday, June 30, for maintenance work at several substations. Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare accordingly. BESCOM has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this necessary power cut to improve infrastructure.

Power cut on June 30

On June 30, power will be cut from 10 AM to 4 PM in parts of southern Bengaluru. Areas like Forum Mall, Prestige Falcon City Apartment, and Kanakapura Main Road will be affected. Other impacted locations include Doddakallasandra, Narayana Nagara 3rd Block, and Munireddy I/O.

Power will be interrupted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 66/11 kV Hennur Road MUSS substation. Areas impacted include Hennur Bande, K. Narayanapura, Bilishivale, Aishwarya Layout, and Maruthi Township. Other affected locations are Nagaragiri Township, Patel Ramaiah Layout, Anjanappa Layout, Byrathi Cross and Village, Evergreen Layout, Kanakashree Layout, Geddalahalli, Hiremath Layout, Janakiram Layout, Vaddarapalya, Anugraha Layout, Cauvery Layout, Doddagubbi Cross, Kuvempu Layout, Byrathi Bande, Thimme Gowda Layout, Manjunath Nagara, Horamavu, Agra Grama and Lakkamma Layout.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the 66/11 kV St. John Wood Substation will also undergo maintenance. This will affect St. John Hostel and Tavarekere areas along with BTM Layout 1st Stage and Gurappana Palya. Bannerghatta Road is included in this list as well.

Additional Areas Affected

The 66/11 kV Shobha Apartment Substation will experience outages between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., impacting Cessna Garden and Outer Ring Road residents. Meanwhile, the Prestige Falcon City Substation will have power cuts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., affecting parts of Doddakallasandra and Kanakapura Main Road.

Narayana Nagar and Muni Reddy Layout are also among the areas that will face power interruptions due to the maintenance work at Prestige Falcon City Substation. Other affected regions include Jyothi Layout, Gangapathipura, Supraja Nagar, Konankunte and Jaraganahalli Park.

Basavaraj Layout residents should expect outages too along with those living near Rajiv Gandhi Road and Sarakki Lake surroundings. Chunchagatta Village and part of Srinidhi Layout are also on the list of affected areas during this scheduled maintenance period.
