Bengaluru Power Cut on June 21: THESE Areas to Face 6-Hour Outage Due to Maintenance Work
Bengaluru power cut: Residents of several Bengaluru localities will face a planned power cut on Saturday i.e June 21, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance work by BESCOM (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited). The outage will affect specific parts of Kanakapura Taluk, located in Bengaluru Rural district.

Power Cut Schedule
Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Reason: Monthly maintenance at 66/11 kV substations (Chatra, Hanumanthanagar, Yedamudu)According to BESCOM's Kanakapura Division Executive Engineer, "This maintenance activity is part of our regular infrastructure upkeep. We urge residents to cooperate and plan ahead."

- Kallahalli Industrial Area
- Surrounding villages
Power cut on June 22 (Sunday)
Bengaluru will experience scheduled power outages in multiple areas due to maintenance work by BESCOM. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, power will be disrupted in Electronic City Phase-1, Doddathoguru, Bommanahalli, NJR Layout, Chikkathoguru, Hongasandra, Konappana Agrahara, and the surrounding localities.
From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, several other areas will also face electricity outages. These include Anekal, Samandur, Yadavanahalli, Itchangur, Vaddarapalya, Attibele Industrial Area, Balagaranahalli, Manchanahalli, Attibele Town, Mayasandra, Dasanapura, Balluru, Kamblipura, Chikkanahalli, Indlabele, Harohalli, Kavalahosalli, Gowrenahalli, Haldenahalli, Hompalagatta, Chowdenahalli, Honnakalasapura, Byagadadenahalli, VBHC Apartment, Kada Agrahara, Chikkahagade, Doddahagade, Rachammanahalli, Guddanahalli, Aravantigepura, P. Gollahalli, Telagarahalli, and Vanakanahalli.

BESCOM officials stated that the monthly maintenance activities at key substations are essential to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the future. These power cuts are pre-planned and necessary to avoid larger disruptions later.
