Bengaluru Power Cut on July 22: 30+ Localities Without Electricity, Full List of Affected Areas Here

Residents in Bengaluru will experience power outages in over 30 areas today and tomorrow. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (Bescom) has announced this due to maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). This maintenance is being conducted at a power station in the city, affecting several localities.

Power Outage Schedule

The power cuts are scheduled for Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22. During these days, electricity will be unavailable from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This outage is necessary for urgent maintenance work at the 66/11kV Sahakarnagar substation, according to Bescom officials.

Areas affected include A Block, E Block, Ballari Main Road, G Block, F Block, Amruthahalli, BGS Layout, Navya Nagar Block, Talacauvery Layout, Shabari Nagar, and GKVK Layout. Residents in these areas should prepare for the temporary inconvenience caused by the power cut.

Additional areas experiencing outages are Jakkur Plantation, Yashada Nagaramruthahalli, D Block Amruthahalli B Block, C Block SQL Layout, D Block E Block Sampigehalli Agrahara Village Byatarayanapura Jakkur Layout Jayasurya Layout Vidhana Soudha Layout Saibaba Layout Telecom Layout MCECHS Layout Suryodaya Nagar Agrahara Layout Kogilu Layout Srinivaspura Jakkur VRL Road (Santhe Road), IAS Road MC PHS Layout Arkavathi Layout.

This power disruption might cause temporary inconvenience to local residents. Therefore, those living in these areas are advised to charge their electronic devices in advance and avoid relying on electrical appliances during this period.

Once the maintenance work is completed, the electricity supply will resume as usual. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly to minimise any disruptions to their daily routines during this time.
