Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway Toll Price Hiked: Check New Rates For Car, Bike, Other Vehicles
Just months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the toll charges. The new price will come into effect from July 1.
The hike, according to a report in Deccan Herald, was proposed in April, but the BJP delayed it due to assembly polls. The increase in the toll fare is coming to effect after the NHAI decided to introduce a toll near Srirangpatna.

The daily quoted an official as saying, "The hike is a routine exercise linked to the WPI (Wholesale Price Index). It was to be implemented from April 1 but was deferred. We brought it back with effect from June 1."
The NHAI will also start collecting toll charges for the 61-km Nidaghatta-Mysuru section which is free at this stage.

Demanding a stay over revised toll charges by the National Highways Authority of India on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway and toll plaza near Srirangapattana until completion of service roads, MLAs, MLCs from Mandya District met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday.
The CM directed Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma to take up the issue with the NHAI officials.
In March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway at a public rally in the Mandya district.
The 118 Km long project has been developed at a total cost of around Rs 8,480 crores.
It has reduced the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from around 3 hours to about 75 minutes
