Bengaluru Metro: No Trains Between Magadi Road and MG Road for Three Hours On March 9
Namma Metro services between Magadi Road and MG Road metro stations on the Purple Line will be suspended from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Sunday, March 9, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced.
The temporary suspension is due to track maintenance work being carried out between Magadi Road and MG Road metro stations on the Purple Line. As a result, metro services on this stretch will remain unavailable during the specified period.

The affected stations include Cubbon Park, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Station, Vidhana Soudha, S.R.M. Visvesvaraya Station, Central College, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic - Purple Line), and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station. These stations will remain closed from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Additionally, the purchase of QR tickets for metro travel will be disabled until 10:00 AM. As no trains will be available at Majestic (Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station) on the Purple Line, BMRCL has advised commuters not to purchase QR tickets or tokens for travel between the Purple Line and Green Line during this period.
However, metro services on other sections of the Purple Line-between Challaghatta and Magadi Road, and between MG Road and Whitefield (Kadugodi)-will operate as per the regular schedule, commencing at 7:00 AM.
Similarly, train services on the Green Line, from Silk Institute to Madavara metro stations, will also start at 7:00 AM as scheduled.
BMRCL has urged metro passengers to take note of these temporary changes and has apologized for any inconvenience caused.
