Bengaluru: Woman kills techie husband, dumps body with cousin's help
Bengaluru, June 12: In order to elope with her cousin and settle abroad, a woman killed her techie husband here on Saturday and dumped his body next to a lake in Srineevasapura in Kolar district, only for the police to find the body and nab his wife.
Keshav Reddy, a software engineer was killed by his wife Shilpa Reddy. Shilpa had laced her husband's juice with sleeping pills and had hit him in his head with a blunt weapon.

With the help of her cousin, Vasudev, whom she was allegedly in love with and wanted to settle abroad, the duo dumped Keshav's body in Srineevasapura.
However it came as a surprise to Keshav's brother Thirumala when Shilpa called him and asked whether Keshav had reached safely or not. She told Thirumala that Keshav had left for his hometown.
On her arrest, Shilpa confessed to the crime
It was only on Sunday that the police discovered the body near the lake. When Keshav's family knew of his murder, Thirumala suspected Shilpa's involvement in the same and according to his statement to the police said that Shilpa had never before called this way to find out whether Keshav had reached his hometown safely during the many trips that he had made.
That is when the police scanned the cellphone tower locations of Shilpa which revealed that she had visited Sreenivasapur where the body of Keshav was found alongwith his ID card and other belongings.
The police then arrested Shilpa who later confessed to the crime. On further investigation, the police learnt that Shilpa's parents were involved as they had visited the site where the body was found.
