Bengaluru Woman Killed by Live-In Partner, Body Found in Garbage Truck
In a chilling crime reported in Bengaluru, a 40-year-old woman named Asha was found murdered and dumped in a garbage truck, her hands tied and body stuffed inside a sack. Police have arrested her live-in partner, Mohammed Shamshuddin, in connection with the case.

The incident came to light on Sunday when workers of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) found a suspicious gunny bag inside a garbage truck. Upon opening it, they discovered the woman's body with her hands tied, triggering an immediate police response.
The Bengaluru Police registered a murder case, sent the body for post-mortem, and launched a detailed investigation.
Investigation
The body was discovered by a BBMP garbage truck driver between 1 and 3 am on Saturday.
Using CCTV footage and other evidence, police identified and tracked down the accused, 33-year-old Mohammed Shamshuddin, a native of Assam. He was arrested shortly after.
Details of the Relationship
Asha and Shamshuddin were in a live-in relationship for nearly 18 months.
They lived in Hulimavu, South Bengaluru, and introduced themselves as husband and wife.
Both had separate families and two children each from previous marriages.
Asha was a widow and worked with Urban Company, offering housekeeping services.
Shamshuddin's wife and children live in Assam.
According to DCP Lokesh B Jagalasar (South Division), the couple had an argument which turned violent. In a fit of rage, Shamshuddin strangled Asha to death.
Body Dumped, Crime Caught on CCTV
After committing the murder, Shamshuddin carried Asha's body on a bike, placed it in a sack, and dumped it in a garbage truck. The entire act was caught on CCTV, leading police straight to him.
The Bengaluru Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the murder. The case has shocked local residents and sparked fresh concerns around urban crimes and live-in relationships.
