Bengaluru Doctor Sent Chilling Messages to Multiple Women Saying He Killed His Wife to Prove His Love
A Bengaluru anaesthetist arrested for his wife's murder allegedly sent shocking messages to several women claiming he killed her for them, according to police.
Investigators said Dr Mahendra Reddy GS, now in custody, sent the message "I killed my wife for you" to at least four or five women he had been in contact with over the past year. The police described the messages as part of a pattern of obsessive and erratic communication that had begun months before the death of his wife, Dr Kruthika Reddy, and continued even after the alleged murder.

Police reports said Dr Reddy had been in touch with multiple women, including some medical professionals, through social media and messaging platforms. He allegedly boasted about killing his wife to prove his affection and sent similar messages through various channels, including a digital payment app.
One woman told investigators that she had blocked him earlier but later received another message in which he claimed to have faked his own death in a car crash and returned for her. Detectives believe the doctor maintained several online relationships while still married.
Dr Kruthika Reddy was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home on 24 April. The case initially appeared to be a suicide, but discrepancies in the post-mortem report and digital evidence pointed to foul play. Police allege that Dr Reddy used his medical knowledge to administer a fatal dose of anaesthetic medication before attempting to stage the scene as a suicide.
The doctor was arrested in mid-October from Manipal in Udupi district. His phone and laptop were seized, and investigators are now examining his digital activity to trace possible manipulation or harassment of other women.
The victim's family said they had been suspicious from the beginning. "We insisted on a post-mortem, but Mahendra created a scene saying he could not bear to see her body being cut," said Dr Nikhita, Kruthika's sister, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
She also said that her sister had wanted to start a small clinic to treat underprivileged patients, but her husband never supported her plans. "He did not even agree to register their marriage officially," Nikhita added.
Police continue to investigate whether Dr Reddy's communication with other women played a role in the alleged crime.
