In a remarkable act of quick thinking and medical expertise, a Bengaluru doctor revived a woman on Friday who had collapsed while waiting in a queue at a polling booth in Jambu Savari Dinne, J P Nagar 8th phase.

The incident unfolded as the woman arrived to cast her vote at Jamboo Savari Dinne, J P Nagar 8th phase, but suddenly collapsed while drinking water from the polling booth. Fortunately, Dr. Ganesh Srinivasa Prasad, a kidney specialist from Narayana Health Center in Bommasandra, was present at the scene and sprang into action.

Dr. Ganesh recounted the incident on social media, stating, "As I was waiting in the queue... one lady had syncope and cardiac arrest in front of me. There was no pulse and I started immediate CPR ... luckily she got ROSC within minutes."

Dr. Ganesh noticed that the woman's pulse rate was decreasing rapidly, and her body was unresponsive. Acting swiftly, he performed CPR, which led to an improvement in her condition. Election duty personnel also rushed to her aid, providing her with juice. An ambulance was immediately called, and it arrived at the polling booth within five minutes. The woman was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Dr. Prasad's prompt and effective response played a crucial role in saving the woman's life. His actions highlight the importance of basic life support training and the critical role that bystanders can play in emergencies. The incident serves as a reminder of the value of having trained medical professionals present in public spaces, especially during events that gather large crowds.
