Bengaluru Diwali 2025: Video Captures Stunning Fireworks Amid City’s Calm Streets

Bengaluru is glowing with festive splendour as the city gears up for Diwali 2025, and a breathtaking aerial video of fireworks has captured the festive buzz online.

Bengaluru-based content creator and drone pilot Srihari Karanth shared cinematic aerial light trails captured in just an hour. He posted on X: "An hour of Deepavali lights over Bengaluru, painted into a minute! Shot between 7 and 8 PM today." #LightPainting #Fireworks

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has enforced festive restrictions, allowing the bursting of crackers only between 8 PM and 10 PM on October 21 and 22. However, rain in some parts of Karnataka may affect celebrations.

Meanwhile, with thousands of residents traveling out of the city for the festival, Bengaluru has seen an unprecedented drop in traffic congestion. Once infamous for long gridlocks on key routes, the city now experiences unusually calm streets.

A commuter noted:

"Umm, half of Bangalore is empty, which means I can reach Indiranagar in 15 mins, MG Road in 20 mins, and the airport in an hour. But what am I doing instead? Going to my client's office for a meeting."

This temporary calm has offered faster commutes and a rare glimpse of Bengaluru without its usual traffic chaos. While some enjoy the quieter streets, others have raised concerns about potential economic impacts on shops, malls, and state GST collections during the festival period.
