Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway Toll Collection To Begin Soon On Karnataka Stretch, NHAI Releases Rates

Motorists using the Karnataka stretch of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway will soon begin paying tolls, as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has finalised rates and is preparing to initiate toll collection at four designated plazas.

The 71-kilometre stretch between Hedigenabele (near Hoskote) and Sundarapalya (near Kolar Gold Fields) has been open to traffic for over seven months, though toll charges were not being collected. That is set to change in the coming days, with technical systems and infrastructure nearing completion.
