Bengaluru Buzz: Rishi Sunak And Akshata Murty’s Third Wave Coffee Hangout Goes Viral

Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, were recently spotted enjoying a casual outing at a Third Wave Coffee outlet in Bengaluru. The couple was seen placing orders at the counter before settling at a table, where they warmly posed for selfies with fellow patrons.

Sunak, 44, kept it classic in his usual white shirt and black trousers, while Akshata Murty opted for a simple pastel kurta. Their visit to the popular coffee chain follows a spiritual stop earlier in the week, when Sunak and Murty, along with her parents NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, visited the Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt in Jayanagar. The family took part in the Kartik month rituals, with Sudha Murty giving cash to Sunak and Akshata for donations.

Sunak and Akshata Murty met during their studies at Stanford University, and today, they share two daughters, Anoushka and Krishna. Interestingly, neither Sunak nor Murty shared updates on social media about their Bengaluru visit.

This isn't the first time the Murthys have been spotted around Bengaluru. Earlier this year, Akshata Murty and her father Narayana Murthy were seen enjoying ice cream at the iconic Corner House in Jayanagar, where the Murthy family has long been residents.

In a noteworthy coincidence, British royals King Charles and Queen Camilla also visited Bengaluru recently for a quiet stay at a luxury wellness retreat in Whitefield.

Rishi Sunak made history as the first British-Indian Prime Minister when he took office in October 2022, a role he held until his resignation in July 2024. He was succeeded by Keir Starmer, a former barrister and Member of Parliament since 2015.
