Bengaluru Alert: 44 Trains Cancelled, 2 Platforms Shur At Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station Due To This

Train operations at Bengaluru Cantonment (BNC) railway station will experience partial disruptions from September 20 to December 20, 2024, due to redevelopment work. During this period, Platforms 2 and 3 will remain closed.

Southern Railway (SR) has announced the cancellation of 44 trains over these 92 days.

Cancelled and Rescheduled Trains

• Weekly Superfast Express (Train 22135): This train, running from Mysuru to Renigunta with stops at Jolarpettai and Katpadi, will depart at 11 PM on the following dates: September 20, September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25, November 1, November 8, November 15, November 22, November 29, December 6, and December 13.
• Shatabdi Express (Train 12028): Operating between KSR Bengaluru and Dr MGR Chennai Central, this train will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 6 AM. It will not run on Tuesdays from September 20 to December 20, 2024.
• Express Train (Train 12677): Traveling between Bengaluru and Ernakulam, this train will leave KSR Bengaluru at 6:10 AM.
• Lalbagh Express (Train 12608): Departing KSR Bengaluru at 6:20 AM, this train connects Bengaluru to Dr MGR Chennai Central.
• Murdeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express (Train 16586): This train will depart Murdeshwar at 2:10 PM, with stops at Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction, from September 19 to December 19, 2024.
• Superfast Express (Train 12610): Departing from Mysuru to Dr MGR Chennai Central at 5:00 AM.
• MEMU Passenger Train (06551): This special train, running between KSR Bengaluru and Jolarpettai, will start its journey from Bengaluru at 8:45 AM.
• Bagmati Weekly Express (Train 12578): With stops in Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur, this train will depart Mysore at 10:30 AM on select dates during the redevelopment period.
• Double Decker Express (Train 22626): Departs from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 1:30 PM.
• Brindavan Express (Train 12640): Scheduled to depart SMVT Bengaluru at 3:10 PM.
