Bengaluru Airport Cancels New Parking Fees After Backlash
Bengaluru airport swiftly rescinded its newly implemented parking fees for private and commercial vehicles, mere hours after the policy was put into effect, as reported by Business Today.
Earlier on Monday, an announcement had indicated an impending increase in travel costs to Kempegowda International Airport.

The new policy stipulated that private vehicles would be charged up to Rs 150 for a stay of 7-14 minutes, with no fee for stays under seven minutes.
Commercial vehicles, including taxis, were slated to pay Rs 150 for the initial seven minutes and Rs 300 for longer stays. Buses were set to pay Rs 600, while tempo travelers were to pay Rs 300.
Signage at the airport also warned that unattended vehicles or those parked for more than 15 minutes would be towed to the nearest police station at the owner's expense.
A fine of Rs 600 would be levied for losing a parking ticket, and drivers were instructed not to leave their vehicles unattended.
This fee structure was intended for both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. However, the airport authorities have now revoked these charges, reverting to the previous system.
