BBMP voting rights: High Court adjourns hearing
Bengaluru, Sept 8: The Karnataka High Court has adjourned hearing on a petition challenging the right of the elected representatives in the assembly to vote in the BBMP Mayoral elections.
The petition is likely to come up for hearing tomorrow.

The petition filed by the BJP challenges the provision which permits MLAs, MP's and MLC's to vote in the Mayoral poll.
The elections to the post of mayor and deputy mayor will be held on September 11.
The Congress and the JDS have joined hands to form the council at the BBMP.
The Mayor's post will go the the Congress while the JDS will take the post of Deputy Mayor.
