Bangalore shamed again: 8-year-old girl sexually abused in school

Bangalore, August 5: In yet another shameful incident of rape case of a minor girl in Bangalore, a 70-year-old teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing eight-year-old girl.

According to sources, the heinous crime took place inside a private school premises located on Kanakapura Road in south Bangalore on Tuesday.

As per India Today report, minor girl's parents have alleged that the accused teacher touched her private parts.

Last month, Bangalore was outraged and massive protests were held all across the city after a 6 year old girl was raped at high-profile Vibgyor high school on July 2, but the matter was reported on July 14.

The case has taken a new twist as two gym instructors were arrested and the skating coach, who was earlier arrested was released, last week.

The duo were booked under Section 376 D of IPC Section 4 and 5 of POSCO (Protection of Child from Sexual Offences) Act.

State-wise protests had been launched by the parents of the children studying in Vibgyor school, raising issues relating to the safety and security of their children.

The repeat of such incidents are shocking as last week Bangalore police had issued tough guidelines to schools for safety of children and warned of prosecution in the event of its non-compliance.

A 28-year-old man was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl at her home at Sunkadakatte near Magadi Road area of the city.
