IPL Suspended

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was on Friday suspended indefinitely due to the escalating military confrontation between India and Pakistan, PTI reported citing an official from the BCCI.

"It does not look nice that cricket goes on while the country is at war," the news agency quoted the official as saying. However, the BCCI is likely to conduct the remaining matches at an opportune time but the details of that plan would emerge only after the conflict de-escalates.

At this stage, twelve league matches and four knockout games are left to be played. Today, Royal Challengers Bengaluru was supposed to take on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which was also impacted by the ongoing tension between the two countries, has been shifted to the UAE.
