After Darshan Jail Pic Goes Viral, Kannada Actor To Be Shifted To Another Jail, Confirms Siddaramaiah

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, was spotted receiving VIP treatment inside the jail, as evidenced by a viral photo on social media. The picture reportedly shows the actor sitting casually on a chair with a cigarette and a coffee cup, enjoying an open area alongside three rowdy-sheeters. He was also seen talking on a video call. Reports suggest that jail authorities are now planning significant measures to bring Darshan under control, with discussions underway about shifting him to another jail.

Darshan was arrested in connection with the brutal murder case of Renukaswamy. There were earlier rumors that he was suffering in jail, and many who visited him reportedly shed tears. However, it is now evident that these claims are false, and Darshan is quite comfortable in jail. Following the viral photo of him smoking a cigarette, there is speculation that Darshan and his associates might be transferred to another jail.

However, the revelation of a photo showing actor Darshan receiving VIP treatment at the central prison in the Renukaswamy murder case has put the Karnataka government in an uncomfortable position. In response, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed DG & IGP Alok Mohan to gather information and issue strict directives. He has immediately ordered the transfer of Darshan and others to different prisons.

In a tweet on social media platform X, CM Siddaramaiah stated, "The government has taken the case of VIP treatment being provided to actor Darshan and others at Parappana Agrahara Jail very seriously, and I have directed that the guilty officials be suspended immediately."

"I have instructed the state police chief to transfer Darshan and others to different prisons and to visit the prison to provide a complete report on the matter," he added in the tweet.

Darshan is seen sitting with rowdy Wilson Garden Naga, who is said to be arranging all these facilities for Darshan. Due to his extensive contacts, Naga is helping Darshan. As a result, there are discussions about changing the team of rowdy Naga or Darshan. It is reported that authorities are considering transferring him to another jail by this evening (August 26).

Meanwhile, seven officers have already been suspended, and an order has been issued by the Union Home Minister Parameshwar. An investigation has been ordered, and if higher officials are found to be involved, they will also be suspended, according to his statement.
