The police custody of Darshan, D Dhanaraj alias Raju, V Vinay from RR Nagar, and S Pradosh, 40, from JP Road in Girinagar, ended on Saturday.

All four accused were questioned separately. Authorities are currently investigating the source of Rs 37 lakh recovered from Darshan's residence and Rs 3 lakh found in his wife Vijayalakshmi's flat on Outer Ring Road in Banashankari.

Darshan, along with several other accused, has been implicated in the brutal murder of Renukaswamy from Chitradurga. The court has ordered judicial custody for all the accused involved, including actress Pavithra Gowda.

Pavithra and 12 others accused have already been remanded to Parappana Agrahara Jail and were given Under Trial Prisoner (UTP) numbers by Bengaluru Central Jail officials.

The UTP numbers were assigned on Friday, with Pavithra receiving UTP 6024. Among the 17 individuals arrested in the case, including 47-year-old Darshan Thoogudeepa, Pavithra is the only woman accused. She has been placed in the women's quarantine cell, while the other 11 accused are housed in the quarantine cell for male prisoners. They all underwent a routine medical checkup.

According to PTI, Pavithra has been named as the primary accused in the murder case, allegedly for instigating the crime. Darshan, listed as the second accused, is alleged to have executed the murder. Both actors, along with 15 others, have been arrested in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police are considering approaching social media giant Meta to retrieve data related to messages shared by Renuka Swamy on his Instagram account, which have since been deleted.

According to reports, Police indicate that Renukaswamy, a fan of Pavithra, had sent her obscene messages, which allegedly enraged Darshan. Renukaswamy's body was discovered near a drain on June 9, and he was reportedly tortured and killed on June 8.
