Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been allegedly arrested today for questioning regarding his alleged involvement in a murder case of Renuka Swamy. In addition to Darshan, his close friend, Pavithra Gowda, and 10 others have also been detained by the police in connection with the same case.

Renuka Swamy (33), an employee at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga, was discovered deceased at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. Swamy had reportedly sent offensive messages to Darshan's wife.

Three individuals confessed to the murder yesterday, claiming they carried out the act.

Swamy's parents had filed a missing person report and were told to wait for 2 days, although it had only been a day since his disappearance. The murder was reported on June 9, following which a case was registered.

Darshan who had recently bought a new Land Rover Defender SUV was spotted in front of Mysuru Hotel. The 47-year-old actor was picked up from his farmhouse in Mysuru over alleged involvement in the case and brought back to Bengaluru.

It is to be noted that the Land Rover Defender 110 is priced at Rs 2.13 crore (ex-showroom). However, looking at the pictures it's not clear that the actor has bought which variant of the SUV.
