Abhinav Singh Death: 32-Year-Old Rapper From Odisha Dies by Suicide in Bengaluru

Abhinav Singh, the well-known Odia rapper and engineer, tragically died by suicide in his apartment in Kadubeesanahalli, Bangalore. He was just 32 years old. The incident occurred on Sunday night and has led to a case being registered at the Marathahalli police station. Singh was employed at a private company in the city at the time of his death.

Sources indicate that Singh's family believes his suicide was prompted by ongoing disputes with his wife. Following a post-mortem examination, his body has been sent back to Odisha for final rites, while the police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Juggernaut's Impact on the Odia Rap Scene

Known by his stage name 'Juggernaut', Abhinav Singh was a prominent figure in the Odia rap scene. He gained widespread recognition with his hit track 'Cuttack Anthem', which showcased his lyrical talent and deep connection to his roots. Singh's music often incorporated local cultural elements and contemporary rap styles, addressing social issues while celebrating Odia identity. His collaborations with local artists, such as MC Tor (Tanmay Sahoo), helped propel the hip-hop movement in Odisha, allowing him to reach a diverse and growing audience through platforms like YouTube and Spotify.

Controversy and Legal Troubles

The rapper's life was not without controversy. In August 2024, Abhinav found himself at the center of serious allegations from Ollywood actress Supriya, who claimed that he barred her from launching a music video and allegedly assaulted her. This incident attracted significant media attention and scrutiny from legal authorities. Furthermore, Singh was involved in a separate incident in which he was reported to be at an OYO hotel in Bhubaneswar following a complaint made by his wife. Authorities responded by sealing the hotel where he was staying.

Singh has vehemently denied all accusations against him, claiming that he was the victim of a conspiracy orchestrated by Supriya and another individual named Adarsh.
