AAP Karnataka celebrates Gandhi Jayanti in a grand way (pics)

Bangalore, Oct 3: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Karnataka celebrated the 144th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Wednesday in a grand way.

The day began with a " Walk for Democracy", which was flagged off by former Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde. The event coordinated by teh AAP along with Lok Satta Party witnessed hundreds of Bangaloreans walking to demand electoral reforms and strengthening of democracy. People of various ages participated, the walk that started at Coffee Day Square on Kasturba Road and ended at Gandhi Statue near Anand Rao circle.

A free health-camp was also organised at Shri Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Jayanagar, where over 250 families underwent general check-up, eye check-up, ENT, orthopaedics, cardio tests, pediatrics, gynaecology and others. Free medicines were also distributed at the camps. The camp was coordinated by Dr Asif Hussain, Dr Malathi Manipal Hospital and Vasan Eye Clinic.
