35-Year-Old Bengaluru Techie Dies Of Heart Attack Following India's World Cup Defeat
A 35-year-old IT professional from Bengaluru tragically passed away due to a heart attack following India's loss to Australia in the ODI World Cup final, as reported by the Times of India.
Jyotish Kumar Yadav, who had returned to his hometown of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, for Diwali holidays, was watching the match among friends and family on Sunday. Yadav's acquaintances mentioned that after India's batting collapse, where they were bowled out for 240 runs in 50 overs, he experienced increasing anxiety and tension over the team's performance in the crucial game.

Initially, the tension eased as Indian fast bowlers took three Australian wickets early in the second innings, putting Australia in a challenging position. However, a resilient partnership between opener Travis Head and middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne, accumulating 192 runs for the fourth wicket, turned the game in Australia's favor. The intense climax became overwhelming for Yadav, leading to chest pain and his subsequent collapse. He was rushed to a local hospital in Tirupati, where doctors pronounced him deceased. Reports also indicated that Yadav was soon to be married.
Following this tragic incident, Mohit Reddy, Chairman of Tirupati Urban Development Authority, visited Yadav's family to offer condolences and extended government support on behalf of the state.
India, considered favorites in the final after a streak of 10 victories, faced a remarkable Australian side led by Pat Cummins. The Australian team displayed exceptional bowling and fielding skills before successfully chasing down India's score to secure their sixth ODI World Cup title.
