32-Year-Old Woman Falls To Death From Fifth Floor While ‘Cleaning’ Apartment Window In Bengaluru

A 32-year-old woman tragically lost her life after falling from a fifth-floor sliding window in her apartment. The unfortunate event occurred within the BDA apartment complex near the Kannamangala area situated in east Bengaluru.

Reports indicate that the woman, identified as Kushboo Ashish Trivedi, was engaged in cleaning the corridor of her flat when the fatal accident occurred.

Kushboo, employed as a software engineer in a private company, resided in the 18-storey Vindhyagiri apartment complex in Doddabanahalli, according to details reported by Times of India.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the incident transpired between 4 pm and 4.30 pm on December 7. Subsequently, a case of unnatural death was filed on December 9, initiated upon a complaint lodged by the deceased's father.

Authorities detailed that the unfortunate mishap took place while Kushboo was cleaning a window in her flat. She reportedly stood on a wooden shoe rack to attend to the glass while the sliding door of the window remained open.

Tragically, she lost her balance, slipping and falling into the air shaft located between two towers of the apartment complex. Despite immediate efforts by family members to rush her to a hospital, she was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

"At the time of the incident, her husband, in-laws, and domestic help were present within the flat," the police officer stated.

"Kushboo had been married to Trivedi Ashish Harish Kumar for seven years. The couple, who did not have children, resided on the fifth floor of a 17-storey building comprising approximately 750 flats. Notably, the absence of safety mesh in the open area was a contributing factor leading to her fall," the officer added.

Police noted the absence of CCTV surveillance to ascertain the circumstances leading to her fall from the window. However, initial investigations suggest an accidental slip resulting in the tragic incident from the sliding window.
