30-Year-Old Man's Suicide Attempt Disrupts Namma Metro Purple Line At Jnanabharathi Metro
A 30-year-old man from Bihar was rescued on Tuesday after allegedly attempting suicide by jumping onto the tracks at Jnanabharathi metro station, briefly disrupting services on the entire Purple Line, officials said.
The incident occurred around 2:13 PM.

The motive behind his drastic action is still unclear. Metro officials reported that Siddarth, hailing from Bihar, jumped onto the track as a train approached Jnanabharathi metro station.
The staff immediately activated the Emergency Trip System (ETS), and the man was rescued by the station controller and team.
According to preliminary reports, no injuries were sustained. Train services on the Purple Line were restored by 2:30 PM. Between 2:13 PM and 2:30 PM, two trains operated on a short loop at Mysuru Road instead of Challaghatta metro station.
