17-Year-Old Bengaluru Boy Kills Mom By Smashing Head With Iron Rod Over Breakfast Argument
In a disturbing incident, a 17-year-old boy in Karnataka was arrested for allegedly murdering his mother in a fit of anger after she refused to serve him breakfast. The tragic event unfolded within Bengaluru's KR Puram police limits, where the 40-year-old victim resided with her son.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Nethra, lived in Justice Bheemaiah Layout in KR Puram and originally hailed from Mulbagal taluk in Kolar district. She was working at a tech park in Bengaluru's Whitefield, as reported by the New Indian Express.
The accused, a student pursuing a diploma at a private college in Mulbagal, comes from an agricultural background, with his father being a farmer, and his elder sister undertaking medical studies in Georgia.
The shocking incident was brought to light when the young boy voluntarily walked into the police station on Friday, confessing to the heinous act of killing his mother.
According to the police account, the boy had skipped dinner on Thursday night and faced criticism from his mother for wasting food. The next morning, as he prepared for classes, he requested breakfast from his mother, who refused. An intense argument ensued, during which Nethra disowned him by stating he was not her son. In a fit of rage, the juvenile attacked the woman with an iron rod, resulting in her immediate demise.
Haunted by guilt, the remorseful minor then proceeded to the police station, admitting to the gruesome crime.
