Trump Thinks ‘Artificial Intelligence’ Is a Bad Name, His Reason Will Leave You Thinking

At a recent AI summit, President Donald Trump proposed renaming Artificial Intelligence. The event, attended by leading tech figures like Al Czars' David Sucks, saw Trump advocating for a name change due to his dislike of the term 'artificial'. He believes the word doesn't accurately represent AI's capabilities.

Trump elaborated on his stance during the summit, expressing his distaste for anything labeled as artificial. "Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence. I don't even like the name," he stated. He further added, "We should change the name. I actually mean that. I don't like the name artificial anything because it's not artificial. It's genius. It's pure genius."

Trump's AI Action Plan

The president introduced his AI Action Plan at the summit, aiming to accelerate domestic AI development and secure US leadership in technology. This plan includes reducing key regulations to facilitate faster construction of AI supercomputers and data centers, despite environmental concerns associated with these facilities.

In addition to infrastructure changes, Trump's strategy seeks to boost US exports of AI technologies. This aligns with demands from tech donors who argue that platforms like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini show liberal bias. The initiative also supports Trump's broader anti-DEI and anti-woke policies.

Executive Orders on AI

Trump is set to sign three executive orders related to AI soon. These orders follow his request in January for tech advisors to develop an AI policy plan within six months. The orders aim to dismantle Biden-era policies that assess risky AI technologies based on misinformation, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and climate change considerations.

This announcement comes shortly after Trump faced criticism on social media for using AI without disclosure. Despite this backlash, he continues to push forward with his controversial AI agenda.

The proposed changes reflect Trump's vision for US dominance in the tech sector by addressing regulatory barriers and aligning with specific political agendas. His approach has sparked debate among industry leaders and environmental advocates alike.
