Amazon Web Services To Unveil New AI Agents Marketplace At Upcoming New York Summit
Amazon Web Services will launch a marketplace for AI agents at the New York Summit on 15 July 2025. This platform aims to provide enterprises with tailored AI solutions, enhancing access to advanced technological tools.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is reportedly preparing to launch a new marketplace dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) agents. According to TechCrunch, this unveiling is expected at the AWS Summit in New York on 15 July 2025. The platform will allow users to search, download, and install AI agents tailored for specific tasks. San Francisco-based AI firm Anthropic might be involved, though its role is not yet clear.
The marketplace aims to serve AWS's enterprise clients by offering a centralised hub for discovering AI agents developed by various startups and developers. These agents will be categorised based on their functionalities, making it easier for users to find tools that suit their needs.
AI Agents and Their Capabilities
AI agents are advanced large language models with tool capabilities, capable of performing tasks autonomously. They can assist humans or operate independently. Additionally, AWS is reportedly developing an internal AI coding agent named Kiro, which may also be revealed at the New York event.
This initiative underscores AWS's growing commitment to providing enterprise-level AI solutions, positioning itself against other major tech platforms expanding in the AI tools sector.
Uncertainties Surrounding the Marketplace
Despite the potential expansion of AWS's AI offerings through this service, several aspects remain unclear. The report does not specify whether the marketplace will operate on a subscription model or a pay-per-agent basis. It is also uncertain how revenue sharing with developers will be managed or if the agents will need constant AWS connectivity or can function offline.
The introduction of this platform signifies AWS's strategic move towards enhancing its presence in the AI domain. By offering a dedicated space for AI agents, AWS aims to streamline access for enterprises seeking advanced technological solutions tailored to their needs.
This development could potentially reshape how businesses interact with AI technologies by providing them with more accessible and customised options through a single platform.
