Bollywood actor John Abraham meets Narendra Modi

in Gandhinagar on Thursday, Sept 19. This was the second meet between the actor the CM in last five months. John made headlines with his frequent visits to Modi who recently has been named the PM candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (

According to sources, the actor paid a courtesy visit to Modi. Earlier John had met Modi in April 2013. It was reported that John had lauded the Modi's vision for the development of eco-tourism, sports development and conservation of heritage.

The Bollywood actor is one of the well-known wildlife enthusiastics in the country. During their previous meeting in Gandhinagar, the CM reportedly had explained how the migratory birds strengthened the Gujarat tourism in a great way.

It was John's second visit to Modi in last five months

Thursday's meeting was John's first visit to Modi after the latter was formally declared the prime ministerial candidate of BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha election which is expected to be held in 2014.

Despite veteran leader LK Advani's reservation on the announcement on Modi, BJP President Rajnath Singh along with other crucial parliamentary board members had gone ahead with their decision. The Gujarat CM, who currently has been leading the BJP election campaign chief, may resign from the post, stated media reports.
