Mumbai: 4-year-old raped, 1 arrested

Oshiwara, Sept 2: Just two weeks after the gangrape of a photojournalist took place in Mumbai comes another shocking incident of a rape.

A four-year-old was raped on Sunday evening in Mumbai's Oshiwara area.

The minor, who is in hospital, is said to be in a serious condition. The police, according to reports, have arrested one person in connection to the case.

The gangrape of a 22-year-old journalist sent shock waves across the country with people demanding strict action against the culprits and a safer city for the women. Many even questioned the safety of women in the city and demanded more police patrol in lonely and deserted areas.
