Bhatkal's arrest based on crime or religion, asks SP leader

SP leader Farooqui says, "Yasin Bhatkal has been arrested because he is Muslim."
Farooqui also said that the police should ascertain whether the arrest is based on the grounds of crime or religion.
The alleged Indian Mujahideen leader was arrested by the special team in Indo-Nepal border and brought to Delhi and produced before the Patiala court om Friday.
Farooqui also said that the police should ascertain whether the arrest is based on the grounds of crime or religion
The judge has said that he will remain in the custod of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for the next 12 days.
He is considered as the master mind of many deadly terror strikes across the country since his terror organisation Indian Mujahideen formed in the year 2008.
Meanwhile, lawyer in Patiala House Court said that the arrested terrorist is Mohammed Ahmed Siddhibappa and not Yasin Bhatkal.
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has condemned Farooqui's remark and Congress also said that Farooqui's statement is baseless and should not be given much importance.
