Fashion designer found dead, police on the lookout for her companion

Noida, Aug 29: A fashion designer was found dead in a guest house in Noida's sector 27 under mysterious circumstance. The designer identified as Lubna Mahmood was found dead on Wednesday morning with marks on her neck.

28-year-old Mahmood, had checked in to the guest house with Shabaz Deshmukh, a resident from Mumbai. Mahmood, who was from Kanpur, was a designer at a private firm in Noida. Shabaz, who was last seen on Tuesday night has been absconding since then.

Police officials say that Lubna and Shabaz were friendly with each other for over a year and were soon to be married. Police officials are now on the lookout for Shabaz.

According to the guest house officials, they checked in in the evening on Tuesday. The next day when the guest house personnel knocked at the door no one answered. Finally they used the spare key only to find Lubna lying on the bed, frothing at the mouth. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

Investigations are on and her body has been sent for post mortem to know the exact cause of death.
