Mumbai: Neighbours of accused feared them as they would rob and drink
Mumbai, Aug 27: After all the accused in the Mumbai gangrape case were arrested last week, shocking details of them being serial offenders has come to light.
The five accused, Kasim Bangali, Salim Ansari, Chand Sheikh, Siraj Rehman and Vijay Hadhav, who live in the slums close to the scene of the crime, are serial offenders and have a unfavourable reputation in their dwelling.
The Mumbai police even confirmed the fact that three of the accused are history- sheeters. The main accused has previously raped women but always got away with it.
The accused had raped a photojournalist last week when she was on an assignment and was accompanied with a colleague. The accused has raped her in the lonely Shakti Mills compound that is a haven for drug addicts and alcoholics.
