3 killed, 23 injured in road mishap at Nipani

when a speeding private bus ran into a stationary truck at Nipani in Belgaum district of Karnataka, sources said.

The incident took place late last nigh on the Mumbai-Banglore National Highway when the ill-fated bus was returning to Shirdi. The Deceased have been identified as Mangesh Dushing (22), Bhausaheb Pagar (55), both of whom were from Shirdi and Manisha Palve (50) from Kalyan in Thane district.

The injured have been brought to Kolhapur civil hospital, sources said adding that the victims were part of the religious tour organised every year from Shirdi to Kanya Kumari.
