Kishtwar violence: Journalists too victims of curfew
Jammu, Aug 11: Curfew continues to remain imposed for the third consecutive day in Kishtwar and now is now stretched in three more districts of Udhampur, Samba and Kathua in Jammu region following communal clashes.
The state government has decided to not allow even the journalists to report from the disturbed town.
In one of the worst communal clashes that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed, two people died and several were injured on Thursday evening.

"We can't venture out of our homes as the Army has barred us from doing so. We are trying to get in touch with the district administration but our calls are going unanswered," Altaf Ahmad, a journalist from Kishtwar town told Firstpost over phone.
"A journalist from a television channel is stuck in a bungalow in Kishtwar. He too has not been allowed to leave his accommodation," said Ashiq Ahmed, another journalist.
Several other journalists trying to enter Kishtwar were stopped and sent back.
BJP has extended its shutdown in Jammu to 48 hours and hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani in Kashmir has called for a state-wide shutdown against the Kishtwar incident on Sunday.
