Dalai Lama wishes former President George Bush after surgery

Dharamsala, Aug 8: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama Thursday expressed happiness over the successful heart surgery of former US president George W. Bush and wished him swift recovery.

The Nobel Peace laureate wrote a letter to Bush, 67, after his Tuesday's surgery.

"His Holiness Dalai Lama wrote the letter from Leh (in Jammu and Kashmir) where he is on a three-week visit," the spiritual leader's office here said.
