"The Chief Minister will announce some measures to attract investment at the national level industrial meet being organized by the West Bengal government at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai on August 1," Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee said here today.

About 65 industrialists and 25 bankers will meet Banerjee at the meet, he said. Five major industrialists from Bengal who would participate in the meet are ITC chairman Y C Deveshwar, R P Sanjiv Goenka Group chairman Sanjiv Goenka, Ambuja Realty chairman Harsh Neotia, Patton Group MD Sanjay Budhia and Vice-Chairman of Apeejay Group Karan Paul.

Chatterjee did not name the industrialists from outside the state who would take part. He said a special award and certificate of appreciation would be given to industrialists who completed their projects on time after receiving land and loans from the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation. Chatterjee said: "Rebate will be given to the charge taken by the WBIDC for setting up new industries in case of completion of the projects on time."

The first industry interaction by the Chief Minister was held outside Bengal in New Delhi on December 17, 2012 where she had tried to allay the fears of top industrialists about the state, he added.
